Sky, Water, and Days in Kumamoto
「水道水はすべて地下水」
と熊本に住んでいた頃に聞いた。
それだけで、
この街が少し特別に思えた。
空を見上げると、広くて高くて、
風がゆるやかに吹いていた。
知らないうちに、
心がふっとゆるんでいることに気づく。
この街には、
静かにととのっていくような時間が
流れていた。
I once heard—
“Kumamoto’s tap water comes entirely from underground springs.”
Something about that made the city feel quietly special.
The sky always felt wide and open.
The wind moved gently through it.
And before I knew it,
my heart had begun to loosen.
There was a kind of time here
that slowly brought me back to myself.
街全体を見下ろす熊本城
ゆっくり走る路面電車の音
雄大に流れる白川
生活のすぐそばに、
深呼吸したくなる余白がある。
それが、熊本という街の
いちばんの魅力なのかもしれない。
The soft sound of the streetcar,
Kumamoto Castle watching from above,
the quiet strength of the Shirakawa River—
Right next to everyday life,
there was always space to breathe.
Maybe that’s what made Kumamoto so special—
the way yohaku lived quietly in its sky and water.
